President's Message

Even though required by pandemic, the necessity to enforce norms of social distancing, lockdown and restrictions on movement led to led to the rise of authoritarian trends in governance and enforcement even in those jurisdictions where maximum value is attached to individual rights and freedoms.

India has been no exception to this worldwide phenomena. Her diversity and complexities and status of a developing country having second highest population in the world posed additional challenges.

Civil Court Bar Association Maharajgnaj

The  Civil Court Bar Council of Maharajganj  is an autonomous statutory body constituted under Advocates Act, 1952 with and having wide varied powers, functions and duties. The Civil Court Bar Council of Maharajgan is required to discharge statutory duties under the Advocates Act, 1952, Advocates’ Welfare Fund Act, 2001, Bar Council of India Rules and other Rules.

The Advocates Act, 1961 came into force with effect from August 16, 1961 and first elected body of the Civil Court Bar Council of Maharajgan came into existence in the month of January, 1952.
